Who is responsible for your information?
European Pet Transport is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. Contact us at info@europeanpettransport.com or call 07588 846079.
What we collect
When you enquire or book, we may collect your name, contact details, collection and destination locations, travel dates, pet details, correspondence and information needed to arrange a lawful pet journey. A confirmed booking may also involve authorisations, travel documentation, payment and invoice records.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a quotation.
- To arrange, manage and complete the requested journey.
- To communicate about timings, documentation and pet welfare.
- To maintain accounting, safety and legal records.
- To establish, exercise or defend legal claims when necessary.
Our lawful bases include taking steps at your request before a contract, performing a contract, complying with legal obligations and our legitimate interests in operating a safe and accountable transport service.
We do not sell personal information. We do not add journey enquiries to a marketing list or use them for unrelated advertising.
Who receives it?
We share only what is necessary with providers that help us operate the website, deliver email, calculate routes, process payments or provide the booked journey. We may disclose information where required by law, border or animal-health authorities, or to protect legal rights.
Providers must handle information securely and only for the agreed service. Where information is processed outside the UK or European Economic Area, we use the safeguards required by applicable data-protection law.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become bookings: normally up to 12 months after the last contact.
- Journey and travel documentation: normally up to 12 months after the journey unless a legal or safety matter requires longer.
- Booking, payment and accounting records: normally up to six years to meet tax and business-record obligations.
We may retain information longer when required for a dispute, legal claim or statutory obligation. We delete or securely anonymise it when it is no longer required.
